Bolo Indiano: A sobremesa recheada que combina tradição e inovação


Conhecido por sua mistura única e irresistível de especiarias, o **Bolo Indiano** é uma delícia gourmet. What you will need:

  • 06 eggs
  • 1 and 1/2 cup (tea) of refined sugar
  • 100g of butter
  • 1 and 1/2 cup (tea) of breadcrumbs
  • 20g of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

For the Filling:

  • 400g of condensed milk
  • 02 egg yolks
  • 02 tablespoons of margarine
  • 100ml of milk

Preparing the Bolo Indiano

The Base:

1. First, separate egg yolks from whites and set them aside in different containers.
2. Beat egg whites until firm and put aside.
3. Continue with the yolk: beat the egg yolks together with sugar and butter until a creamy consistency is achieved.
4. Add to the mixture breadcrumbs, cinnamon, and baking powder then stir till it’s uniformly mixed.
5. Fold in the egg whites mixture to the batter gently.
6. Pour the batter into a pre-greased and floured cake pan, and bake at 180 degrees Celsius for roughly 25 minutes or until ready.
7. Perform the toothpick test to make sure it’s well baked before pulling out of the oven.

The Filling:

1. In a saucepan, add all the filling ingredients.
2. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until your mixture reaches the consistency of a soft caramel.

Assembling the Bolo Indiano

1. When the base is cooled down, cut it into two equal parts.
2. Spread the filling evenly on one part.
3. Place the second half on top and spread the remaining filling.
4. Finish up by sprinkling some cinnamon on top.
5. Serve the Bolo Indiano and enjoy!
